Growing up...
Blessed or cursed it was all in how you looked at it. Her parents had wanted one thing in life a child; however, it would appear when they got their only child she was far from what they wanted. It was clear from the moment she was born that Aine was different from other children her own age. She seemed to be looking at something that was not there. This caused her parents to be alarmed. At first, they thought it was some sort of disorder perhaps she was sick with something that made her space out.
However, this wouldn’t be the case. The truth was far worst. She could see between the veils that separated the world. She was able to look into other realms and realities. There was nothing that was hidden from her. Some called it having the sight. It was said that if some creatures realized she had it they would cut out her eyes others would spirit her away to never return. Earth held all sorts of this rumors and her home was no different.
A curse among her own kind...
The people of the small town she lived in were no different. They said she would bring the wrath of the others down upon her. That the supernatural world would seek the child out like a moth to the flame and only those who were cursed would have such things happen. The family fearing the curse keeps a close eye on their daughter wondering if she was some sort changeling or worst a devil in disguise. They keep her locked up less she hurt someone.
However, despite their fears Aine was the sweetest girl you could meet. She cared for others and wanted nothing more than to use her powers to help people. But, whenever she tried it would go wrong or the person would panic and call her evil. In time, people came to mistrust her and she turned away from the world hiding within her parent’s home out of fear of being rejected. Her parents decided that she was exactly what everyone feared some sort of monster in the form of a human girl and that they had to destroy her.
Lost in the woods...
So, they sent her into the dark woods to perish and sent hunters after her. She attracted all sort of things in her fear and pain as she fled through the forest. However, despite the best efforts of her parents the girl was found by an aspect of light that in turn blended with the girl and saved her life. Time moved on and she grew into a beautiful young lady who would get married. Her husband having many secrets of his own. However, that was neither here nor there.
Because in time she would come to Hellifyno quite by accident when her family was murdered or so she had come to believe a few survived this attack by the man sent to kill them. And were scattered many coming back together once again. Aine was broken during the fight her soul shattered like the mirror that held her powers. But, her daughter in her efforts to heal her mother accidentally managed to separate the girl from the goddess who had aided her.
Aine Murphy has no memories of her life as Aine Lavoie. The last thing she remembers was fleeing from the hunters I the woods. She trusts those that are sworn to protect her because she has no Choice although the story they have to tell her is quite something. She is keeping herself hidden for now unsure what her existence in he world means for the world around her. After all she is just one small part of another person and isn’t even supposed to exist.
A New Future...
It was then that she would met the fae king Aed. He swore that once upon a time in another life she had been his wife. He wished to take her home back to Ireland where he would look after her. She as afraid to return to the place that had tried to kill her. However, she made a deal with him and he won. So, she has agreed to return with him and hopes that this time things will be better.
She does miss it. There are things about Ireland that will always call to her soul. Perhaps, with the fae she will find a new home and a new chance at a life that is her own.
